Matt Taylor · Huntersville, NC

Hands-on IT engineering across hybrid Microsoft estates, automation, and integration glue.

I run IT operations for a national food brokerage and ship code on the side: PowerShell, Python, TypeScript, Flutter. Before IT I spent a decade in the HVAC trade and still hold the NC mechanical contractors license. This site is a curated tour of what I've built, the systems I've architected, and the small businesses I run after hours.

What I work on

Hybrid Microsoft estate

Azure + Microsoft 365 across 80+ sites and ~1,100 people. Hybrid AD/Entra ID, Intune, site-to-site Meraki, ITIL on Freshservice.

PowerShell-first automation

76-script open-source M365 admin library. HPSCAT vendor ingestion. Office 365 → Snowflake user sync as a native Snowpark procedure.

AI-augmented IT operations

Building claude-forge: Python + Supabase + Azure Functions platform that caches Freshservice / AdminDroid / Graph data and drives Claude API webhooks for triage and enrichment.

Built-on-the-side businesses

After Hours Data Systems, an EPA 608 study app for HVAC technicians on iOS and Android. Self-taught mobile dev across three platform generations (App Inventor → Thunkable → Flutter), shipping since 2014. Matt's Volleyball League, a Next.js platform on Cloudflare Workers serving 150–200 players per season with a 1099 contractor team.

I'm an IT Director by day and an IC engineer by habit. If something here looks relevant (infrastructure, automation, integration, internal tooling, or a side build I haven't written about yet), LinkedIn ↗ is the easiest way to reach me.
